Nature's Blends Pure Cold Pressed Argan Oil (90ml) is a pure, cold-pressed culinary-grade argan oil (Argania spinosa) sourced from the Souss-Massa region of south-western Morocco — the only place on Earth where the Argan tree grows naturally. The Argan tree (Argania spinosa) is endemic to this UNESCO World Heritage biosphere reserve and has been cultivated by Berber communities for centuries. Our argan oil is extracted from the kernels of sun-dried argan fruits by cold-press mechanical extraction, producing a raw, unrefined oil with a characteristic golden-amber colour and a light, nutty flavour. Cold-pressed argan oil retains its full complement of naturally occurring vitamin E (tocopherols), oleic acid, linoleic acid, squalene, and sterols.

  • Sourced from the UNESCO Souss-Massa Biosphere Reserve, Morocco — the only natural argan habitat on Earth
  • Cold-pressed extraction from Argania spinosa kernels — no heat, no solvents
  • Culinary-grade — suitable for internal use as a food oil
  • Rich in vitamin E (tocopherols), oleic acid (omega-9), and linoleic acid (omega-6)
  • Characteristic golden-amber colour with light nutty flavour
  • No additives, no refining, no bleaching, no deodorising
  • Suitable for vegans and vegetarians
  • Also suitable for external topical use on skin and hair

The Argan Tree & Its Origin

Argania spinosa is a thorny, drought-resistant tree that lives for up to 200 years and grows almost exclusively in the Souss-Massa region of south-western Morocco. The tree produces a small, oval fruit with a fleshy pulp surrounding a hard nut, inside which one to three oil-rich kernels are found. Argan trees are of significant ecological importance — their root systems prevent desertification, and they are classified as a protected species under Moroccan law. The Souss-Massa Biosphere Reserve was designated a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1998. Traditional argan oil production has been carried out by Berber women's cooperatives in this region for centuries, and the industry continues to provide important income for rural communities.

Suggested Use

Culinary use: drizzle over salads, couscous, grilled vegetables, or bread as a finishing oil. Use in dips such as amlou (a traditional Moroccan spread of argan oil, almonds, and honey). Do not use for high-heat frying — argan oil has a smoke point of approximately 220°C and is best used cold or at low heat to preserve its nutritional profile. Cosmetic use: apply a few drops directly to skin or hair. For hair, apply to ends and work through damp hair before styling. For skin, warm 2–3 drops between the palms and apply directly.
