Nature's Blends WHOLESALE PURE RAW CHESTNUT HONEY (340g) is a raw, unfiltered, unpasteurised Chestnut honey sourced from Southern Europe (Italy/France/Spain). This is a mono-floral honey — produced by bees foraging predominantly on sweet chestnut (Castanea sativa) blossoms — which gives it its characteristic dark amber to dark brown colour and distinctive flavour profile: strong, tannic, slightly bitter profile with a persistent, complex aftertaste — one of the most characterful European mono-floral honeys. Raw honey retains all naturally occurring enzymes, pollen, propolis traces, and minerals that are destroyed or removed during pasteurisation and commercial filtration. Our chestnut honey undergoes no heat treatment above hive temperature and is bottled in its natural state without any additives, blending, or processing.

Origin & Harvesting

This chestnut honey is sourced from Southern Europe (Italy/France/Spain), where the specific climate, soil, and flowering seasons produce a distinct honey with consistent flavour characteristics. The bees forage primarily on sweet chestnut (Castanea sativa) blossoms, which is reflected in the honey's flavour, colour, and pollen profile. The honey is harvested once per season and cold-extracted from the comb without heat. It is coarse-filtered to remove wax and bee parts only — fine filtration (which removes pollen) is not applied. Raw honey will naturally crystallise at room temperature over time; this is a sign of its natural, unprocessed state and does not indicate spoilage.

Suggested Use

Take 1–2 teaspoons (7–14g) daily, directly from the spoon or stirred into warm (not hot) drinks. Excellent as a spread on toast or bread, stirred into porridge or yoghurt, or drizzled over cheese. Do not add to boiling liquids — heat above 40°C damages naturally occurring enzymes. To reliquefy crystallised honey, place the jar in a bowl of warm water (below 40°C). Store at room temperature with the lid tightly closed. Do not refrigerate.
